Well known and respected as a golf instructor in the Birmingham area for many years, Alan began his golf career in Montgomery, Al. He was PGA professional at Woodley Country Club and golf coach at Huntingdon College in Montgomery. After service in the Air National Guard, he became Assistant Professional at the Country Club of Birmingham, and later head professional at Chace Lake Country Club where he served for over 16 years. In addition to his teaching ability Alan is noted for his skills in club repair and the making and fitting of custom golf clubs. He purchased Golf Southeastern, Inc. in 1981 which he operated for almost 20 years. For his years of service to golf, Alan was inducted into the Montgomery Golf Hall of Fame in 1988. He now resides as PGA Teaching Professional at Eagle Point Golf Club in Birmingham, Alabama. |

Having refinished, regripped, custom fit, re-sized and repaired golf clubs for over 30 years Alan has a vast knowledge when it comes to club repairs. He owned and operated Golf Southeastern in Vestavia Hills, Alabama which specialized in retail sales and all types of club repair and custom fitting for over 20 years. Alan now continues to provide basic club repair services on all types of woods, irons and putters, including reshafting, regripping, resizing (lengthening or shortening), setting loft and lie, and more.
